Say "SO!"

I was listening to Bro. Matthew Tuttle preach from MAYC 2010 this past Sunday. As he was mid-way through the sermon "It's spinning in control", he began talking about how the Devil will tell you things, negative things, and try to get you to believe what he say's is truth. Such example's that were given went like this: You'll never make it, Your youth group will never grow, and so on. After every example given, he would simply say "So." One little word, but with such a big meaning.

Our sign team has been going through many changes. With any ministry, you have your seasons. You have your times where it seems like the rain will just poor and poor. Then you see the sun come out and know all will be okay. It's when the storms blow in though, is when we are shaped into who are to be. The leaders, the givers, the pillars, the one's that are full of wisdom, or the one's built to be the strong ones. Your personalty is shaped and you begin to grow into the vessel that God wants you to be. At these times, are when the Devil will try to tell you about the negatives of what maybe happening. It then, that you throw your head up high, square your shoulders and narrow your eyes. You step closer to him and simply state..."So."

"You will never be used." - SO!

"You are to  young to be a vessel for God." - SO!

"Your parents will be your down fall." - SO!

"Your friends are laughing at you." - SO!

"Don't forget how you turned away from God that one time." -SO!

These are just some examples of what the Devil tries to whisper in our ears. Sometimes we let him just talk away. It's when we cut him off with a loud and bold "SO!" is when we can continue on our journey in a steadfast manor. It's only then when our greatest victories are won.

To my team- You all can be used and will be used. You shall not be defined by your past, but by your future. You all are special and have a purpose. Never think otherwise. Remain steadfast in your walk with God, your prayer life and faith. Good things will come to those who delight themselves in the Lord!

"Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;" -Psalm 107:2
