Say "SO!"

I was listening to Bro. Matthew Tuttle preach from MAYC 2010 this past Sunday. As he was mid-way through the sermon "It's spinning in control", he began talking about how the Devil will tell you things, negative things, and try to get you to believe what he say's is truth. Such example's that were given went like this: You'll never make it, Your youth group will never grow, and so on. After every example given, he would simply say "So." One little word, but with such a big meaning.

Our sign team has been going through many changes. With any ministry, you have your seasons. You have your times where it seems like the rain will just poor and poor. Then you see the sun come out and know all will be okay. It's when the storms blow in though, is when we are shaped into who are to be. The leaders, the givers, the pillars, the one's that are full of wisdom, or the one's built to be the strong ones. Your personalty is shaped and you begin to grow into the vessel that God wants you to be. At these times, are when the Devil will try to tell you about the negatives of what maybe happening. It then, that you throw your head up high, square your shoulders and narrow your eyes. You step closer to him and simply state..."So."

"You will never be used." - SO!

"You are to  young to be a vessel for God." - SO!

"Your parents will be your down fall." - SO!

"Your friends are laughing at you." - SO!

"Don't forget how you turned away from God that one time." -SO!

These are just some examples of what the Devil tries to whisper in our ears. Sometimes we let him just talk away. It's when we cut him off with a loud and bold "SO!" is when we can continue on our journey in a steadfast manor. It's only then when our greatest victories are won.

To my team- You all can be used and will be used. You shall not be defined by your past, but by your future. You all are special and have a purpose. Never think otherwise. Remain steadfast in your walk with God, your prayer life and faith. Good things will come to those who delight themselves in the Lord!

"Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;" -Psalm 107:2

His Fingers Guide the Way

Don't let the Devil cheat you out of being used by God with the Devil's fear of being cheated out of what he could've had.

In life sometimes you come to cross roads. Some lead down " yellow brick road " and others lead through the valley of the shadows of death you cant let go of what you hang onto. Once you let it go, it may not always come back. Just remember, you cant fool anybody of what you really are. Not even yourself. God has a plan for you and weather you own up to that plan or not is all on your own. But never will it leave your life. Calling now or calling later, who can say?

The Devil has many plans as well as does God. Yet it all depends on which plan you choose to follow. The Devil can taunt you and get inside your head. Get under your skin and make you feel like you are nothing. With all those thoughts in your mind, who is to say what you will and wont do. If you let darkness in, darkness is what you will reap. With everything set and plan on this path, you head nowhere. It becomes and endless tunnel of dark and dispare.

However, there still is hope. God has another plan for your life. God will NOT taunt you. Neither will he get inside your head or your skin. But He has another calling for you. It brings you abundance in blessings and power. You will NOT go weak or weary. For He is stronger than any other. God's calling is something you cant run away from, you cant change it, nor can try to hide it. His fingers guide you through your life and you just have to have the mind set to follow Him.

The Devil may tempt you and tell you that its impossible for you to do anything for God because of your cirrcumstances that have crossed your path. Well, let me just tell you this, God doesnt care what your cirrcumstances are, how old you are, what gender, where your from , where you live, etc. His calling is something much greater than that. You just have to turn into the little kid that He sees in you and hold onto Daddy's finger and dont let go. Hold to His finger and you will never stray.

" The Lord is my shepard, I shall not want, for He maketh me to lie down in green pastures, and He leadeth me beside still waters, He restoreth my soul, and He lead me in the path of righteousness, for His name sake and though I walk throught the valley of the shadows of death, I shall fear no evil, for God art with me. "
